The lynmouth flood The wind was strong The rain was heavy And the rivers were high. Trees were floatingAlso people were drowning  and alsohouses were being swept away. John Peddar 17 years of ageSon of a post master.went two the post office with his fartherTried two save as much as they couldSomething’s as much as money And little things like stamps. Charles Postles worker of the power station The alarm went off at the stationHe went down 2 check it out Water was coming throughHe had never seen water come up so quickHe couldn’t stop the water He didn’t no what 2 doHe turned the power offThe whole village had no power! Tom Bevan hotel ownerSaw the river changing colour7:30 candles were litTwo girls were out at partyOn the harbourThey went out two find themWalking through knee height water.9:30 doors burst openTom went two save Wife’s best jewellery. Many people died But some survived But some unfortunate didn’tFrom all different agesas little as 3 months two 101. We all need two remember This very unfortunate time
