Using your Lake District Map…..

Make a Treasure Trail.

This will be a set of instructions to guide someone to Treasure somewhere on your map.

You will need to include…. Grid references, directions(N. NE. SSW etc)Distances travelled in km.Names of places and roads etc.

1. Open up your free OS Map that I gave you before Christmas, you know, the orange coloured one. Make sure that you can see the long blue lake called Windermere on it. This means that you are looking at the right side.

2. Now for each of these 4 figure Grid references below ,find out which village or town is in each square.

Remember…. Along the corridor and up the stairs, will give you the bottom left hand corner of a grid square.
